Your morning departure from Christchurch begins with a scenic drive to the West onto the Banks Peninsula with its lush rolling hills and small farmlets.

• Refreshment stop at the famous Little River Store, stocked full with curiosities, organic produce and local art works.
• Todays destination is the delightful township of Akaroa, settled by French seafarers back in the 1700’s and nowadays the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch or a browse through the many interesting craft shops.
• Optional: Black Cat cruise to see the outer harbour and get up close and personal with the Hector Dolphins that inhabit the bay.
• Return to Christchurch with a stop at Barry’s Bay cheesery for a taste of locally produced cheese.
