As city's go, Padova is a charming, friendly university town. Although this city is less than an hour away from its more illustrious neighbour Venice, you could be a world away. Much less hustle and bustle, that's for sure. What with its medieval marketplaces, fascist-era facades and, of course, the hipness of the student community.
